Our Commitment to Transparency
At LuvemGames, we believe in full transparency with our readers. This page explains how we use affiliate marketing to support our game review platform while maintaining our editorial integrity and providing honest, unbiased recommendations.
What Are Affiliate Links?
Some links on our website are affiliate links, which means we may earn a small commission if you click through and make a purchase. This comes at no additional cost to you—the price you pay remains the same whether you use our link or go directly to the retailer. These commissions help us maintain and improve our website, allowing us to continue providing valuable game reviews and recommendations.
Our Affiliate Partner
Our affiliate links go to Amazon, through the Amazon Associates program. As an Amazon Associate, LuvemGames earns from qualifying purchases.
Our Editorial Guidelines
How each review is made is explained on our How we review page. In short, and as a commitment to you:
- Our reviews are AI-assisted and built from the publisher's rulebook, the retail listing, BoardGameGeek community data and published coverage. We do not claim to have played these games
- Ratings shown are the Amazon player aggregate and BoardGameGeek's community figures, labelled as the community's, never ours. We assign no star score of our own
- Affiliate relationships never influence what we say about a game
- We prioritize our readers' interests above commission potential
- Weaknesses are stated plainly, even for games we link to
How We Select Games to Cover
LuvemGames selects games to cover based on:
- Community reception on BoardGameGeek and among players
- Player interest and current trends
- Variety across categories and play styles
- New releases and anticipated titles
- Reader requests and suggestions
We never accept payment for positive reviews, and affiliate partnerships do not guarantee coverage or a favorable verdict.
How This Benefits You
By using our affiliate links when purchasing games, you help support our ability to:
- Continue creating free, high-quality game reviews and content
- Research and source games carefully to provide honest assessments
- Maintain an ad-light, reader-friendly browsing experience
- Expand our coverage to more categories and designers
- Invest in website improvements and new features
FTC Compliance
In accordance with FTC guidelines, we disclose our affiliate relationships. This disclosure is provided to ensure full transparency about our monetization practices. We are committed to complying with all applicable laws and regulations regarding affiliate marketing and sponsored content.
